As the inventors of the DVR, TiVo came to us to help refresh their brand, refresh their homepage and give their new flagship product, the "Roamio", some special rocket fuel for its 2014 launch.
Very rarely do people connect to electronics and feel like it's their friend. TiVo has always been different. It's not some crappy, rented cable box. It's been their little buddy that's always there to greet them when they drop their butt off on the couch today. It's been the only DVR that people could properly call their own.
Our creative revolved around the fact that TiVos are part of us and not part of big brother cable. The little nuances in life. The bits of humor and slices of side poking fun. The simple fact that not everything has to be taken so seriously.
The goal was to make TiVo.com as interesting as TiVo itself. Personable, fun and most importantly, not take itself so seriously. At its foundation, we all knew the product was solid and dependable. Once that was in place, you could begin to have a bit of personality and fun.
